How to post an ad that sells fast
A listing that sells quickly answers every obvious question before it is asked. That is most of it. Here is the rest.

Photos do the selling
Shoot in daylight against a plain background. Show the item from several angles and photograph any damage deliberately — an honest flaw photo removes the haggling that a hidden flaw creates.
Write a title someone would search
Brand, model, size or capacity, condition. "Unlocked phone 128GB, good condition" outperforms "phone for sale" because it matches what buyers type.
Price it and say whether it is firm
Set a price and mark it firm or negotiable. If you accept offers, set an auto-decline floor so genuine offers reach you and lowballs never do, and an auto-accept price so a good offer closes instantly.
Answer the category's standard questions in the ad
Every category has its own short list:
- Rentals: deposit, lease length, utilities, viewing times
- Vehicles: mileage, service history, test-drive availability
- Electronics: model, storage, battery health, box and accessories
- Jobs: pay range, hours, location or remote status
- Digital: format, licence, instant delivery
Reply quickly, then confirm the meetup
Reply speed is visible to buyers as a badge, and it is the single strongest signal that a listing is live. Once you agree a time, confirm the meetup in-app so both sides are on the record.
