Trust score and seller badge

Each seller has a trust score built from signals the platform can actually observe: completed meetups, median reply time, account age, verification level and no-show reports.

A badge only appears once there is real signal behind it. A brand-new account shows as a new seller rather than borrowing credibility it has not earned.

Payment-safety chip, per country

Fraud follows the local payment rail. The safety chip on a listing states the accepted-payment rule for that listing's own country — cash or confirmed transfer on meetup — and names the local vector to avoid.

Examples of what that means in practice: e-transfer overpayment in Canada, advance UPI or QR payments in India, courier and deposit stories in the UK and Ireland, phishing payment portals in Germany and France.

In-chat scam shield

Conversations are scanned for known fraud patterns and an advisory notice appears inline. It never blocks a message; it tells you which pattern was matched and why it matters.

• Requests for advance payment, deposits or holding fees
• Courier, shipping-agent and customs-fee arrangements
• "I'm abroad / on a rig / deployed" pretexts for not meeting
• External payment links, gift cards and wire services
• QR and UPI payment requests
• Overpayment and refund-the-difference setups
• Attempts to move the deal to another app

Meetups and no-shows

Either side can propose a meetup time and place; the other confirms. Thirty minutes after the agreed time, a participant can report a no-show, which is counted against the account that failed to appear.

Completed meetups feed back into the trust score, so reliability is visible to the next buyer.

What to do yourself

No feature replaces basic caution. The short version:

• Meet in a busy public place in daylight.
• Inspect the item before any money changes hands.
• Never pay a deposit to hold something you have not seen.
